When you arrive at the gate, if there is no one there to greet you – PLEASE, Ring the Bell! When the gate opens, please pull through and proceed slowly along the paved road. You will see sings directing you to our parking and reception area. You will see a graveled drive to your left – proceed on this path to the parking lot. We have parking for 5 – 6 cars at a time – this is why we prefer that you make a reservation. One car/reservation – please! This is the only place that we have for you to park – please do not ask our staff if you can park somewhere else. We have prepared this place for your vehicles and for loading and unloading – this helps us maintain the property in a way that respects our guests and the plants and animals that call the farm their home.
Once you have parked your car, come on over to our reception tent and we will get you setup for picking Haskap Berries and any of our other edible garden delights. Leave your buckets and bowls in the car or at home. We will provide you with standard food grade plastic buckets. This ensures that we can easily and accurately weigh your pick and charge you the correct amount. We prepare the buckets for your pick – this also ensure that you get the Haskap Berries from farm to table in the best possible condition.
Our staff member will great you, give you your picking buckets and a quick run down about where you can find the best berries and what else is ready for picking on our farm. They will also give you a quick tutorial on how to pick and get the best berries and ensure that they last the longest. Please let our staff know if you have any questions.
The next step is…….you pick. When you are done – come back up to the reception tent and we will weigh your buckets of treasure and transfer them to our paper baskets. We would love it if you would take a pic and tag your sweet self with us before you head on out.
